The travel industry runs on trust. We built the infrastructure to enforce it.
WhitstoneVerified.com was founded on a single premise: that the travel industry needed an independent, credible verification body — one that could not be bought, influenced or gamed.
Every year, tour operators, corporate travel managers and travel agents lose clients because they trusted the wrong supplier. A bad DMC, an unlicensed guide, a transfer operator with no insurance. These are not small failures. They are reputational disasters.
We built Whitstone to change that. Our nine-point verification process — independent, rigorous, and applied to every single applicant — gives buyers a resource they can trust, and gives exceptional suppliers a badge that means something.
We have no commercial relationship with any supplier. No investor, partner or advertiser can influence our verification decisions.
There is no premium listing, no featured placement for verified suppliers that fees can buy. The badge is earned or it is not awarded.
Verified status expires every 12 months. Every supplier must pass the full nine-point process again. There are no grandfather clauses.
We track review scores and complaint channels between renewal cycles. If standards drop, investigation is triggered immediately.
A single upheld formal complaint triggers an immediate investigation — not a warning, not a conversation. An investigation.
When a supplier is removed from the index, we announce it publicly. When an investigation is underway, the listing is marked accordingly.
Our verification is not a form suppliers fill in. It is an investigation we conduct on their behalf. Every application is independently checked across nine criteria — each of which is a potential disqualifier on its own.
We verify the legal existence of the business through official government registers. Sole traders, partnerships and companies are verified differently. Discrepancies result in immediate rejection.
Valid professional indemnity and public liability insurance must be verified directly with the insurer. Coverage must be appropriate to the services claimed.
Minimum 4.0 weighted average across TripAdvisor, Google, Viator and Trustpilot. Sudden review spikes trigger fraud investigation.
Three references called by phone. Email confirmations are not accepted under any circumstances. References must have worked with the applicant within 18 months.
Minimum 3 years continuous operation. Verified through bank references and tax records. Rebranded businesses must show predecessor history.
Complaint databases, consumer protection registers and social media searched. Any upheld complaint within 3 years results in rejection.
Website, social channels and digital footprint checked for accuracy and consistency. Misleading claims result in rejection.
ATOL, ABTA, ASTA, ATTA, Travelife, IATA and local licences all verified directly with issuing bodies.
Two-person board reviews every application. Can reject a compliant application. Human judgement is the final and non-negotiable layer.
Access to browse the verified supplier directory is free and does not require registration. Buyers use this platform at their own discretion. WhitstoneVerified.com does not guarantee the performance of any listed supplier beyond the scope of our verification process.
The application fee is non-refundable regardless of outcome. Paying the application fee does not guarantee approval. The fee covers the cost of our investigation process only.
Our verification confirms that a supplier met our nine-point criteria at the time of assessment. It does not guarantee future performance, nor does it constitute an endorsement of any commercial terms offered by the supplier.
Verified status may be revoked at any time if a supplier fails to maintain our standards. Removals are announced publicly on this platform. Removed suppliers may reapply after 12 months.
All decisions made by our review board are final. There is no formal appeals process. Suppliers who disagree with a rejection decision may reapply after 6 months with new supporting evidence.
83% cannot. If your standards are genuinely exceptional, begin your application now.
